The Pax Family
This is one of the true cases that meeting with a family can make all the difference in a monument. Our appointment with the Pax family was made at the family’s home. We learned that Mrs. Pax, Mary, raised Bonsai trees and sold them all over the world. We had the privilege to be shown her green house. In the green house hung a stained glass window that Mary had made, another hobby she enjoyed. Knowing the cemetery lot was north facing, and its open location the, discussion of the window made it all come together. The window became the focal point and the monument was designed around it.
